Hi Everyone! Zappa and I have returned from our CoronaVenture (or 39 day journey at sea moving our Huck Finn-Stye barge boat up to the Suwannee River). It was an epic way to quarantine and we will have a video up soon of the journey. (I have tons of footage to sift through).
But some good news for Boatcampers!
Key West is once again open for business (please wear your face masks) and so are we! Bars and restaurants are once again open for indoor seating and things are slowly going back to normal. This means you can experience the Keys without the crowds!
We are open again starting June 15 but due to Covid19 we have had to make the following changes:
At this time, our guests ONLY have access to the kayak launch, not the rest of the island to ensure social distancing. This means no use of the beach or volleyball area on the land. We cannot offer the beach package at this time.
Please stay within the new roped area when coming and going from the street to the kayak launch dock. We have had to limit the use of space on the island to just the kayak launch.
The paid parking is NO longer an option. Cars are not allowed by the launch, so you’ll have to drop large bags off on the street and utilize the free parking.
Check in now starts at 2pm to allow a little more time for us to deep clean to the new standards. Please be patient if we need more time.
See you soon!
